She grew up listening to stories of her grandmother, who gave birth to many children, including her mother Iloci, by the river and under the shade of a tree. These memories have become a fundamental part of who Marielen is.

Deciding to honor the simplicity and depth of this feminine heritage, when it was her turn to give birth to her own daughters, she wanted to connect with this ancestral tradition, recognizing the power of the act of giving birth.

After her first birth, Mari felt a deep calling to accompany other women on their motherhood journeys. She knew her mission was to ensure that they could experience their processes in a way that was respectful and connected to the ancestral power that unites humanity.

In 2006, she returned from Buenos Aires after a period of deconstructing everything she had known about conventional obstetrics. It was at this moment that her journey as a midwife came to life, and she began to accompany other women, bringing her unique, respectful and evidence-based vision to the birth process.

Today, she continues to honor the tradition of her roots, connecting with the power of the feminine and accompanying women on their journeys of motherhood. Her story reminds us that behind every birth, there is a story of tradition, respect and love. May everyone find inspiration and remember the importance of honoring their roots and traditions.
